The Texas Brain and Spine Institute will hold the 10th Annual Neuroscience Symposium on Monday, December 5, 2016. The symposium will be held at the Hall of Champions located at Kyle Field at Texas A&M University.

The Symposium will begin with a course, "Everything you should know about your brain and spine." The course will include a number of 20 minute talks on topics including:

Structure & Function of the Brain
Alzheimer's Disease & Parkinson's Disease
Spine Anatomy & Function
Imaging the Brain
Brain Tumors
Physical Therapy and Exercise
Sex Differences in Neurological Disease
Multiple Sclerosis & Epilepsy
Injections & Pain Management
Brain Surgery in 20 Minutes or Less
Stroke
Spine Surgery
Concussion & Head Injury

Following the courses, the keynote address will be presented by Dr. Scott Grafton, Bedrosian-Coyne Presidential Chair in Neuroscience at UC Santa Barbara and Co-Director at the Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies. Dr. Grafton will be speaking about using cutting edge imaging technology to map brain functions, and how he uses this to analyze concussions and brain injuries.

The symposium will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Free food and beverages will be provided. There will also be free parking at the Hall of Champions parking lot located right in front of the venue. The symposium is intended for the general public, for medical professionals, and for faculty, educators and students in all disciplines.
