Bryan was up 41-7 over Huntsville, before two late TD's on the backups late in the 4th quarter. Final being 44-21 and not that close. The same Huntsville team that took Consol down to the wire last week.

Next week Bryan v Consol at Merrill Green. Should be a fun one.

The original crosstown showdown is this week between Bryan and Consol. Both teams have identical records. Could be a huge game in regards to potential playoff rankings.

You're exactly right. Winner of this game likely avoids Temple in the playoffs. Either way, some good-natured friction amongst the respective fan bases is always a good thing. Glad the town is supporting four high schools.

Speaking of talented squad, that CSHS freshmen A team is very good. Down in the 4th quarter to Huntsville 14-3, came back and won 17-14. Their first close game ever as a team in organized school football.

I might be a little biased when I say I'd like Livingston to win since my old coach is their new head coach, but should be a pretty exciting week for Brazos Valley teams. I coached the CSHS 9th graders when they were 7th graders at CSMS and I could see how talented they were going to be. Definitely a bright future for the Cougars.

Isn't it interesting how some class years seem to be stacked with talent? Every year there are outstanding students, but the class of 2015 had some great athletes all across the valley.

Brazos Christian defeated Houston Lutheran North 46-7 after leading 46-0 at the half. Next game is a big one against division leader Legacy Christian (Beaumont) October 30 in Bryan

Consol v College Station could either give Consol the District Championship if they win, or allow Bryan to sneak back in there with a College Station win and Bryan win over College Station next week. Very interested to see the outcome of that game.
