What locations are used for kids b-days in this area? I know there are moon bounce companies, but I haven't seen a ton of venues in this area especially with the expansion in South College Station.

Where do people go?

Movie theaters have birthday rooms. Chuck E. Cheese, Grand Station. Maybe try the Children's Museum?

For summer parties try Adamson Lagoon. Spirit ice arena. Rock wall at the rec. I've heard of DIY classes at Home Depot being fun for the kids. Mad Hatters tea room in Caldwell for little girls if you're willing to drive a bit. Same with the blue bell factory tour.

Thanks for mentioning FUNgineering. We had our very first birthday party yesterday and it was a blast.

Full disclosure: as I've mentioned before, I am an owner.

How "local"? Horseshoe Junction in Brenham is a lot of fun.

Can you provide more details about what it is?

FUNgineering provides STEM education classes for kids ages 6-14 using LEGOs, robotics, 3D printing, and computer games/programming. We also do birthday parties on weekends. Our website is FUNgineeringCS.com.

Fungineering is pretty cool.

We go to a lot of parties at Power Sports. It's fun. They have huge bouncy house/obstacle course that runs the length of building. Kids can also jump on trampolines and land in the foam block pit.

We had our daughter's birthday party at Spirit Ice Arena last month. The kids enjoyed it and the price was very reasonable.

The last 2 years we have had our daughter's party at the Rec Center. We pay for all the kids to go in. We will usually pay for the rock wall if they want to do that. However, most of them just go dive in the dive pool. They are permitted to use the boards up to the 5 meter platform.

Painting with a twist is also fun. You can use the extra room and choose a picture or just join their Saturday morning group, which is a family group for everyone.

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History also has great parties for younger kids. My daughter did that when she was 7. They had a great time.

Our joint has been Powersports. They get to go crazy for about an hour. BYOB mom and dad but you have to keep it in your car and be kind of quiet about it (like church).

Learn from our mistake with our 2year olds birthday party. It rained, and I was kicking myself for not booking Power Sport or some other inside area.

Artastic Craft Studio does craft and art birthday parties. It is located on Harvey Rd behind Southern Jewlz.

We had the little egret's birthday party at Artastic. I liked that they got to do a craft as the "activity" that was also the "favor" the kids took home so I didn't have to a bunch of bags with stuff. You can pick a theme and the craft follows that theme.

We've also gone to parties at Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History and Thunder Elite. For convenience Thunder Elite wins - you bring the cake and the kids and that's pretty much it, and the kids get to run wild. BVMNH was fun because the kids got to see reptiles and other live animals, go on a scavenger hunt in the museum, and do a craft.

I haven't been to any parties at the new Children's Museum location but a friend had her child's there and was thoroughly pleased.

I think a movie theater party, depending on child's age and the movie, could be a lot of fun.

A venue *like* Chuck E Cheese, but with a full bar, would be great (for the parents, obviously).

This is a great post!
We have used Brazos Valley Gymnastics and Spirit Ice Arena in the last year. Happy with both.
The Cinemark movie package was too expensive for us.
We have attended a party at Purple Turtle and it was wonderful!

I don't know what your kids' interests are, but I've seen people write good things about Clockwork Games and Events, if the kids are into gaming/computers/xbox.
