We are extremely grateful for all of the Texas Task Force members who have been a part of the catastrophic flooding in the Texas hill country.
TX-TF1 members were deployed ahead of the flash flooding in several locations, including Kerrville, and have been active making rescues since the first rains fell. Over 175 personnel are working this event which includes searching for the missing and performing many rescues in several locations where flash flooding is still occurring.
Their dedication to serving other Texans is exemplary
Deployed members include:
- Texas A&M Task Force 1(TX-TF1)- A Type 3 Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) team with water capabilities- 53 personnel
-Texas Task Force 2 (TX-TF2)- A Type 3 Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) team with water capabilities- 46 personnel
-TX-TF1-9 Swif****er/Flood Rescue Teams with inflatable rescue boats- 76 personnel
-TX-TF1- Helicopter Search and Rescue Technicians (HSART), rescue swimmers who will partner with Texas Military Department (TMD) and US Coast Guard (USCG) aircraft- 9-personnel
-11-Search Canines
