CNN just reported the updated death number as 67 confirmed with 12 missing from Camp Mystic (11 campers and 1 counselor). Unknown additional missing from RVs, cabins, etc.

Likewise. My husband is a longtime LEO with DPS and I can't tell you how many times he's had to go off because of a situation, and I've used this board to monitor the situation, keeping me sane and updated while also keeping me from distracting him. It's literally a blessing.

This is correct at least of the families who have confirmed online that their child had been identified amongst the recovered.

Lila, Janie, Sarah, Renee, Eloise, Anna Margaret, and Linnie were all in Bubble together. There are six other girls and two counselors from Bubble Inn who are either still missing or have not yet been confirmed publically.

There are also at least five children from Twins (including Mary Grace) whose families are still waiting (or who have not shared), as well as at least three other children on the missing list who were either in Twins or possibly another cabin (but likely Twins as it sounds like all other cabins were together in tact).

Please everyone. This is now a critical moment in this unfolding story. We are going to do the best we can in keeping this thread a combination of factual and encouragement of each other and those affected within our user community and the broader Texas community. If you are going to post significant first hand information both positive and negative, so as to be respectful to all those looking to this thread for information. Please reach out to us and give us some verifiable proof of the information you are posting. This obviously does not impact the posting of public information from officials involved in this search process. If you are posting news stories, please link them. Thank you.

Derm, I know there is very little that can bring peace during this time, but please know that I've followed this thread and the search for Mary Grace since your first post. I was raised in church but for various reasons I have not prayed in many, many years. I would go so far to say that I consider myself agnostic, maybe leaning atheist at times…but the overwhelming love and support I've seen on this thread, along the solace you have found here, has moved me to tears many times these past few days.
I want you to know that I have, and will continue to pray for you and for Mary Grace. I've dug my old bible out of my closet, now covered in dust, and put the words from Gmanoutdoor's wife along with the message from Glenn inside it.
I pray that Mary Grace is found safe so you can tell her just how many people came together to pray for her, and how she inspired at least one person to talk to God again.

The parents of the little girls saved by Glenn are working on that. It will take some time for all, including Glenn, to work through this.

But you are right, sounds like Glenn probably did lose his vehicle in the flood. And that is certainly one of the considerations.

The camp is the only confirmed missing. They've stated they don't know an overall number of missing given the transient nature of RV park / campsite residents.

Everyone is susceptible to believing and passing along misinformation.

Especially from Twitter. I wish people would stop citing tweets as news.

The press conference that just concluded which said 59 lost is just for Kerr County. CNN is reporting from all counties in the impacted area.

I was watching live, but to try and honor the Mod's request to include news story, including the screenshot from the CNN app.

It seems like there is still not a good grasp on how many others may have been at cabins not part of a summer camp or RVs and still unaccounted for.

Thank you for sharing. This tragedy has certainly reminded many of us how fragile life is and what genuinely matters most. I'm continuing to be emotionally moved by shared stories in this thread and the love and support for those dealing with loss. Praying and holding out hope for a miracle that more will be rescued.

I have probably teared up 15 times this morning thinking of those kids... my daughters are 6, 9, and 11 and just got back Camp Lonestar last month. I keep imagining what I would do in that situation and cannot imagine what the parents have gone through and continue to struggle through right now. I am constantly looking for my girls so I can hug them again.

Dermdoc, prayers sent for Mary Grace and her Parents, and all your family.

What I choose to imagine each of the deceased children is doing right now: (which brings some comfort)

Houston LaJunta, families, the camp just let us know that we can pick up our boys trunks and belongings this afternoon. I live in Boerne will be in Houston on Tuesday. I have room in the back of my truck for probably five trunks. If anyone needs me to bring theirs to Houston on Tuesday, PM me, and we can make arrangements for me to drop it off.

I want to share a portion of today's homily from our Priest in Anderson.

He said we need to focus on changing our outlook from "what if" to "even if". He said that many times we struggle with what if I lose my money, lose my things, lose friends and family. What do I do now.

Instead focus on even if the above things happen in this world, that we can't lose Jesus. Praying for all who are affected by this.

This is why we pray not just for a miracle, although we would all love to see one, but we recognize that we don't get to impose our desired outcome on any situation so we also pray that no matter the outcome, that God be glorified and draw people to him in triumph and in tragedy.

Redemption and eternal salvation is the greatest miracle of all.

What's the latest on physical volunteers? I know many young dad's like me that are willing to go and help the search effort. I know they have a ton of resources out there already and none of us want to get in the way, but have seen lots of reports of people also not seeing many people on the river. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about that.
