That's an awesome video. And some people think they can take on a brown bear.

When in bear country hiking, always carry pepper spray and tie some little jingle bells to your bootlaces so the noise they make will make sure the bears are aware of your presence and you won't startle them which could/would result in an attack. Usually there are two types of bears in an area...Black bears and Grizzly bears. You can tell which is which by examining their spoor. The black bear spoor will smell like berries and have little bits of undigested berries in it. The Grizzly spoor will smell like pepper spray and have little undigested jingle bells in it....

I've never worn the little jingle bells and am not sure I love the idea either… it's probably smart to not startle them, just like saying "hey bear", but the idea of walking around as a dinner bell just doesn't sit well with me.

If you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. - I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. - I could deal with that, too.

If you're a bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that.

If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.
