Out here in Middle TN. Nothing moving so far. First real time to go deer hunting.

My nephew got an 8 point buck last weekend.

Sitting in the stand in north grimes county, in the high 50's and raining but watching 8 does feed. Finally enjoying the cooler weather that makes it feel like deer season!

I'm in the stand with my 6yo boy, and my 11yo boy he with grandpa just down the way. Hoping the older boy gets his first deer tonight. He inherited my old .243 this year, and that thing is due for another notch!

Had to run to work this am for a few hours and then met up with the lady friend to wet a line. SLOW bite today but we caught a few before the snow hit.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the OB.

I dont know how to make the pics smaller, sorry.

Got two pigs for the price of one and they drug themselves off into the cedars for me. Now to wait for a deer

Two does walking by. I don't want my first deer to be a doe.

1 horned spike came by. My brother-in-law said the deer usually come out in about 30 minutes; so, I guess the fact that I'm seeing deer now is a good sign.

We got 6in of snow last night and more to come today.

Yet I am still debating on going fishing. I have issues.

My BIL said I should have shot the doe. He saw it on the trail camera. She was big, and if I was only going for meat, I would have shot her. But, want my first deer to be a buck. Thugs shot plenty of deer and I can get plenty of venison.

Gillespie County 10pt

As soon as he hit the ground, a 13 pt stepped out, saw his buddy taking a dirt nap, and hauled ass.

I'll let my daughter go after him next time.

Every year around Thanksgiving, a good buddy comes to town to hunt. This property doesnt see a person except for the couple days a year that he can get away from work. I come help play guide and in exchange I get to hunt an untouched property that rarely sees a human. The way we used to hunt. No feeders, No cameras. Just find where the deer are already feeding, put out a sack of corn and wait in anticipation, not knowing what might show up. I absolutely love it.

I will say the addition of popup blinds and bog pods are nice.

I shot a doe in the morning and he decided to shoot a buck in the afternoon. I was zoomed in on X18 watching through my scope for his impact. One of the cooler things, Ive seen while hunting. At impact, a two foot stream of blood shot directly back towards us before the deer could even move. Felt like I was going to get blood in my eye.

No need to wait to track

Awesome!

Biggest deer I've ever shot, was broadside at 30-40 yards. Shot with 300 WSM, there was a micro second where I thought I missed then I saw what amounted to a lung come out his left side, my brain was like a record skipping and then it clicked… ok he's down.
