I thought the Outdoors Board would enjoy this.
It took almost two weeks but I finally got a little revenge on a scammer. I have a ring for sale in Facebook Marketplace. Paul R. Cooper (most likely not his real name) started messaging me about the ring saying he wanted to buy it. He was asking all the wrong questions so I was pretty sure it was a scam and I went along with it. He said he would pay me through PayPal. He asked me to go on the PayPal website and send him an invoice (which I did) for the price of the ring and an additional $43 for overnight shipping. About 10 minutes later he messaged me saying he had made payment and that I should have gotten an email from PayPal. Sure enough, there was an email from PayPal saying that he sent the money but it was "on hold".

Then I knew for sure it was a scam. I was going to string him along for a while and then call him out for trying to scam me. But, he decided to be a little aggressive with me (see the screenshots of his messages).

I was home eating lunch and I decided I would provide him the tracking number he so desperately wanted. So, I thawed out four frozen raw shrimp, wrapped them in paper towels, boxed them up and addressed the package to him. I took the box to the Post Office and sent them Priority Mail. The address he used was a pack and mail place that receives packages and then ships them out, most likely overseas.

Today I finally got the message I was hoping for. He got his shrimp. Hahahahahaha! Best $10.95 I've ever spent.

The part that really made it worthwhile was knowing that I did cost him some money. I read the policies of the pack and mail place and they charged him $5 to receive the package. They also charged him an additional amount to forward it to wherever he is. I'm hoping he got dinged for at least $50.
