Posting for general review and commentary. Have really enjoyed my Savage Impulse, so always keeping my eye out for other Savage products. Very interesting to me.

I had this rifle minus the carbon barrel. I thought the magazine fit sloppy and sometimes the bolt got stuck.

Other than that it was a good accurate rifle.

Same here. The Magpul magazines are hit or miss and you better be smooth with the bolt. The magazine that came with the gun was ok, one off the shelf takes a couple attempts to seat, and a third is somewhere in between.

Second group out of the box was 3/4" though and it's been consistent ever since.

Savage makes great rifles for the money. My dad has a very basic 110 in .243, and it's a tack driver.

I have a Savage 111 (not sure of exact model) in .260. It will shoot almost any load pretty well. The stock and barrel could be a little longer, gun is a bit on the small side for me, but it has always been accurate.

I have a 110 hog hunter that I can't get to shoot less than 3" @ 100.

What ammo are you running?

Take your gun out of the stick and reinstall it with proper torque
I have a savage Model 12 that didn't shoot well until I did that. Since then it's a .5" gun with factory ammo.

Don't know, but he runs a heavier bullet weight because of the twist.
