For to get your cows fat! It actually has quite a bit of peanuts in it (that the harvester left behind) , so it's a good source of protein and fat that cows love. But then, so do coons and other varmits that will tear bales up searching for the peanuts!
I know a couple guys that trade a lot of peanut hay but they only deal with a full semi load of 50k It doesn't sound like you want that much, I don't think they would deliver a partial load unless they charged full freight.
I remember as a kid hauling some small square bales of that crap out of a field. The stems were like a wire brush and would tear your legs up. Some bales would weigh 30 lbs and then some would be full of dirt and weigh 100 lbs. Eff that.
And then when it was stacked in the barn it would be covered in coon s*** before long at all.
Got a load from a good "middleman/hauler", but prefer to find a farmer for direct purchase on the farm for the future. Always preferable to deal directly with the farmer for obvious reasons.
