Black drum, just as good or better than redfish at that size.
NO AMNESTY!

in order for democrats, liberals, progressives et al to continue their illogical belief systems they have to pretend not to know a lot of things; by pretending "not to know" there is no guilt, no actual connection to conscience. Denial of truth allows easier trespass.

What kind of fish can I fry other than catfish
I mean, you can fry just about whatever. People are just not going to suggest it for good quality eating fish.

Frying generally is done with lesser cuts.
Ain't you ever had fried crappie? Don't you dare tell me that's a lesser cut.

As a guy that grew up in saltwater always forget how insecure you fresh water guys are.

Crappie is one of the best fish you fry up.

I don't know about that. Got my degree in WFS from TAMU. Worked for two large catfish farms for a few years shipping catfish all over the US. Lots of restaurants sell it blackened, grilled or fried. Handled and prepared correctly it is not greasy.
Funny. We represent one of the largest international seafood companies that's vertically integrated from catch / growing in fjords and open oceans to state of the art production facilities on multiple continents. We get to see really nice product.

Catfish is definitely a lesser cut known internationally as bottom of the barrel. It's neck and neck with Tilapia and most Asian countries prefer carp because its similar, but even cheaper.

As far as product commercially sold in the US, Swai is about the only thing below it and there's a reason Asia tried to market them as a replacement for catfish.

Catfish is big in the south based on history. It was a cheap lesser cut that families could afford. We all grew up fishing for it and frying it. So we're partial to it. Doesn't change reality.
