Just acquired one and looking for telescoping type brace options as I have no clue what is available, Like the look of B&T telescopic brace but it is pricey and not available anywhere I have seen. Would buy if available somewhere. Any recommendations/opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Any A3 style brace is going to cost you unless you just happen to fallinto a good deal.
The collapsible braces arent all that great IMO, cheek weld is pretty much non existant. Folding bracea give you a much better weld if you need to get it into a smaller package. Dont look as cool though, agree.

I'm running Safety Harbor brace plus Gear Head Works MOD 1C. There is a company that makes a "void filler" to keep the brace mechanism free of debris.
All of this is until my F1 comes back. Then I'm going pure HK glory.
Also, magpul announced a new stock / brace for later this year.

I put an M4 stock adapter on mine andrun a 6 position collapsible. Doesnt collapse as compat as an A3, but it fits and welds up exactly the same as my AR's.

I put this one on mine about 6 months ago. Really like it. Fit well, folds easy. Locks up tight.

That style is my favorite for use. The one from sbtactical specifically. The pdw style looks The coolest but more awkward to shoot with

Any reason for green dot? I like Aimpoints with a B&T low mount. Gives an absolute co-witness and great cheek weld.
many articles I have read suggest green is better to se than red. 67 yr. old eyes need a hand. Not opposed to red though if it better.txyaloo said:

I have this one with the mod1c tail hook brace on my SP5K. Low profile and I can get a good cheek weld on it.

Agree with this if going the brace route.
Where are you guys trying to get a cheek weld? The rails? "Nose to charging handle" works on this platform except it should be "put your cheek against that almost perfectly shaped triangular depression on the end of the gun".
The A3 stock just plain sucks outside of looks. It's especially not worth the $700-900 they sell for these days. The dip built into the A2 and B&T make a perfect rest for your cheek while naturally aligning your eyes to the sights at the right elevation. Y
You can put nose to rear of receiver on an A3, but it naturally places most people's eyes above the sights. A B&T folder is nearly as compact as an A3 w/o the compromises.

I heard some people say green is better with their astigmatism, but I haven't noticed a difference in green vs red when shooting without glasses. Primary Arms has some cheap Aimpoint clones that come in green and red dots. Aimpoint doesn't make a green dot, but the Trijicon MRO comes in green and should work with a low mount to get a good cowitness

I may have a slight problem. Roller locks are my favorite platform

Most of those have more spots on the safety lever. You are my hero. There is more money on that blanket then what most of us spent on our first home.
Nah, they're all show these days, but they were a lot of fun when I had an SOT and all were full auto. The f/a picto lowers sure do look good. Some of the more unique hosts like the /40, SD, and 53 are probably worth something.FIDO 96 said:
