There was a drive by shooting injuring two last week, from the video from an arlo it sounded like an AR or AK

There was another shooting or two tonight and the suspect fleed on foot all up and down my NBHD

I've been at the backdoor with <sigh> my shotgun and the wife by the street window, apparently they found shoes and AR parts in someone's shed

Also listening to the scanner one suspect was picked up by a blue car a few streets over.

The drive by from last week a guy high as a kite opened fire on a vehicle. He shot the man, the woman who had to deliver her baby and was 8 months along

Eric Dupree Perry Jr Has been released and just charged with aggravated assault

I saw the news of the first shooting. I thought a pregnant woman was one of the victims.

Haven't heard anything about this one. This is the kind of crap that you expect in Wharton and Bay City.

My uncle lives in EC and I've spent a lot of time there during hunting season over the years. Sorry to hear about all this. I'll check in w him and see what I can find out. He's lived there most of his adult life so he is pretty well connected.

Haven't heard much, but the rumors have started (this is NOT confirmation, only small town gossip):

Multiple shootings last night, at two different locations.

Two injured, one serious and one "not" serious.

And multiple folks saying "this stuff only happens in Bay City".

Don't think that there is an attempted murder on the books in Texas. That falls under assault.

Read page two on the newspaper picture, it explains the reasoning.

Attempted Murder is a possible crime, but requires the prosecution to prove motive in the shooting. Whereas aggravated assault does not. Both charges carry the same penalty.

Assault is easier to convict.
