Thinking about getting a new hunting rifle. What are your thoughts on what I should get. Probably keep it under 2500 unless I need to increase but thinking that's enough. Primarily for deer and hogs but want it to be my go to for hunting.

What type are you looking at?

Semi, bolt, wood, tacticool?

I spent about $1500 on a Browning A bolt and Nikon 4-12x40.

For a traditional, good looking wood rifle I feel it's hard to beat at that price. Trigger on the newer Brownings is adjustable and very good.

I got a bergera wilderness in 300 win mag with a Rudolph 5-25 FFP and I put a 2 stage triggertech flat trigger in it. It took some tweaking as the stock wasn't torqued from the factory, I lost a screw for the scope, and triggertech is going to send me a new trigger because this one slam fires, but other than that I've been more than happy

If you want a bolt gun get a bergera, a 300blk pistol with a 10.5 in barrel also tickles my fancy
