Can you tell me about the Herrera BSA 243? I have never heard of Herters before. Is it a decent quality brand? Is it scoped? Any problems? How old is it?

Herters was like the Cabelas catalog for custom rifles in the 60s and 70s . They made good quality firearms parts back in the day. BSA action is made by Birmingham Small Arms from England. It looks very similar to my Browning A-bolt.

Pics are in the classified link. I do see any problems. Functions well. I really like the BSA rifle. If it was right handed, I would probably hunt with it.

Did you build it? Parts list? Approximately how many rounds? Do you have any ammo to go with it?

I'm located in New Braunfels but am in your neck of the woods often. Will be there week of thanksgiving.

I have that exact LH rifle in .30-06. Mine has the factory BOSS muzzle break. It's a tack driver. Purchase w confidence.

Barrel is 24 inches and weight is 7lbs 13oz. It was one of my grandfathers rifles that he built of a Herters CZZ mauser action. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Thanks man. Let me do some thinking...I'm glad you're not in DFW or I'd already have bought it.

Someone buy the dang A-Bolt. They are stupid accurate and that's a perfect setup.
