Personally, I'm a big fan of the superb dog handling skills. "SIT...SIT!"

Is it just me or does the dog owner seem to be a little, shall we say... excited, when he's giving the fake name and phone number? people are into some weird stuff...

The cyclist definitely seemed like the aggressor. Another perfect example, you get more bees with honey than vinegar.

I must have seen a different video. The one I saw the dog was the aggressor.

I have a "cheap" one and it was still almost $1500. You bend a wheel or screw up the chainring or cassette on a nice one and $500 can be chump change.

Yep. My wheelset cost more than my actual bike. If that dude had Carbon Fiber rollers, $500 is entry level for a single wheel

I want them ALL OFF of the roads. Too few follow the rules and they're uninsured traffic.

I'll settle for if it rolls on the road, has it's own striped lane on the road, and can/did crash into my vehicle and make me have an auto insurance claim, it NEEDS vehicle liability insurance. That's my compromise. OTHERWISE they're toys and just keep the toys in the yard or in the park. If it's a road vehicle it can hit me, and one in CSTX did, and made me have to keep the dings & scratches or file against my policy, making my rates go up. Bikes need their own insurance policies or to NOT share roads with vehicles that ARE required by law to carry insurance.

I'd rather let CSTX build bike parks and ban bikes from the roads altogether. City of CSTX sucks at nearly everything except building parks. They can build the heck out of some parks. Bike parks only or bike insurance, pick one. ID's, whatever. If they have ID's CSPD will watch them roll through stop signs daily like they do now and flip the blue lines on if I even look like I'm thinking about doing the same in a "real" vehicle. Bikes are a menace, except when used as the toys that they are in yards and parks.

The bike riders don't follow the rules and they don't carry insurance. They're a straight up menace but CSTX city council doesn't care. I swear the cyclists have naked pictures of every single council member the way CSTX council kisses cyclists butts.

Yeah we better get pedestrians insurance policies for walking too.

I have reviewed the evidence and my ruling is that the dog owner should have had his dog on a leash but they were all in a park during a stay at home order so the dog guy owes the bike guy one open-mouth kiss on the lips.

How many cyclists have you seen pulled over for speeding, failure to yield, improper lane change, etc? There are are a lot more consequences for breaking the rules for those driving automobiles than there are for cyclists. Cyclists want equitable benefits of using public roadways but not equitable costs.
Username checks out.

I have seen it happen several times. Most cyclists ride early in the morning on the weekends when no one is driving. The cyclists you see out in public on a normal day are a small number of the actual serious cyclist.

Cyclists have to normally ride aggressively because of all the distracted drivers playing on their phone. You never see those people pulled over.

Texas is full of obese people and cycling isn't as popular as other states.

Right. They routinely roll through stop signs because they are dodging distracted drivers, not because of the increased physical effort that following traffic laws would require.

Never said I condoned running through stop signs.

If there was a cop there they would get a ticket. Riding aggressively has nothing to do with breaking the law.

I have had cars pull out in front of me on purpose just because and flip me the bird. I've had people on cell phones not paying attention and run me off the road even though I am riding on a shoulder. I use flashing lights for visibility and also use a radar on my bike to sense approaching vehicles behind me.

Some cyclists are cock suckers, I agree with that.

So fun fact i was on baron going under the hwy 6 over pass and witnessed a bicyclist completely blow through two stop signs. what he wasnt counting on was the old lady stopped at the North bound feeder stop sign. She fully expected him to obey the traffic laws and stop at the stop sign, he did not and royally screwed up the front end and windshield of said prius. me and three other motorists witnessed it and stayed at the scene until paramedics and police showed up. The man was taken to the hospital and cited for running a stop sign along with a few other citations. He tried to sue the lady for destroying his nice road bike, got a call from her attorney gave my phone statement and never heard anything else. Bicyclists in CS on the whole have no respect for traffic laws and are a nuisance!

Cyclists can and do receive tickets for disobeying the law. Your beef isn't with the scofflaw cyclists but with the cops. Same as with drivers I see everyday disobeying traffic laws, a tiny fraction of those are pulled over, and never the ones I see and yell at.

I dont recognize them but I recognize the area... that building in the background is my office. I would bet they live in Emerald Forest because it's really the only neighborhood in walking distance.
FoxFire is just as close. Woodcreek and a couple of other little unnamed roads nearby are also options. Heck, Raintree connects to Emerald Forest and if you've lived in any of those long enough you've also walked that.

But I'm also in the dogs off leash and two wheeled toys that don't require driver's insurance or licenses should BOTH be in the parks.

I also have nothing but contempt for both groups.

Especially, CSTX cyclists. I had one drive as fast as a car coming the wrong way in a bike line at 30mph +/- end up on my hood while I was waiting to make a turn. They expected me to pay for their stupid bike. What part of wrong #$%^&*! direction at 30mph is unclear? Insurance for THEM to repaint my hood? Not required. I was on my own. KMA and keep your uninsured toys off the road.

And CSTX city council you suck the worst for congesting the city by taking so much road space away from insured/licensed and tax paying vehicular traffic for your stupid eco-hippie utopian socialist fantasies in 100 degree Texas that are only used by the person in this video and a couple of dozen more in ~100,000 person city.
I am torn on the bike thing. I have disdain for cyclists that ride down some of the most heavily trafficked streets and create dangerous situations for both drivers and themselves, or at best slow traffic unnecessarily. I don't think it's too much to ask to take your bike to roads or trails that aren't essential to travel by large numbers of people.

The dogs thing infuriates me though. I had a complete jackass of a neighbor that would let his dog run all over the place. I asked them many times to keep him in their yard or on a leash, including calling the city after he kept saying he would and not doing it.

This dude's wife once screamed at me in front of her 7 year old daughter how I'm "weird" because everyone else in the neighborhood loves their dog and I'm the only one who ever complains about it. Keep in mind this dog is about 160 pounds and barks at everything, used to run into my garage and my pool area all the time, etc.

One day the doorbell rings and some guy I don't know is screaming at me. After about a minute I say "I don't know who you are or why you are yelling at me". Then he explains that my dog had torn up his flower beds for the second time. I told him "I don't have a dog. That's jackass next door".

Anyway, someone complained enough to the city that they eventually had to give the dog away.
