My folks (in their 80's) are taking a Baltic cruise. I thought it would nice to get Dad some decent bino's for the trip. $200-$300 range.

Here's a few - since dad evidently doesn't already have a pair of binoculars, I will assume that he is not a dedicated bino user. If that is the case, I would suggest going with something small and lightweight, which makes them easier to carry at any time, which makes him more likely to use them. You might consider a 28mm to 32mm bino, 7x or 8x magnification. If dad wears eyeglasses, which is pretty common for people his age, you will also need to mindful of the binoculars eye relief too.Build It said:

Definitely agree. A little more than half of my binocular collection were purchased from the used market.AV8ORAG84 said:
