It darted across right in front of my car as I was starting down the drive. Pretty good size, only saw it run through my headlights and slip into the brush a few feet later. We have lots of cotton tails, so I assume it was looking for a snack.

Had that happen twice and saw the rabbit on the other side of my yard. Too bad they always run away instead of going after Peter Cottontail

You should get your vision checked. It was most certainly a mountain lion.

Yeah, we actually have a nextdoor for the Grassyville area south of Paige but I never joined it. Probably should, it would be entertaining. It's been years since I've seen a bobcat in the wild. I've seen plenty of coyotes and the occasional grey fox.

on your place, the "bobcat" was likely carrying a copperhead in his mouth!

I'd say this if bobcats weren't pretty common.

He looked pretty tired and had a couple bags of groceries.

Maybe your bobcat and my bobcat are friends. Never forget the first time wife woke me up because she heard some "predator cat" outside our window. I laughed. then 2 days later neighbor confirmed he saw a bobcat hop my fence the night before.
