I was reading the death wobble only occurs on a solid front axle. Stupid question, is Ford the only solid front axle on the 3/4 ton?

My 2019 has started doing this and it scares the crap out of you. Waiting for the part for Ford to fix. Of course it is on back order.

Does Chevy have a solid front axle on their 3/4 ton?

Starting to lose faith in my Ford the more I read about it.

They did an alignment and installed a Dual Steering Damper KIt.
They are telling me that is working on other trucks...we'll see

No. Chevy is the only one that doesn't have a solid axle.

Solid front axles from the factory have no caster correction. Sounds like they have a factory issue with what angle they welded the knuckles to the axle at the factory. After market can half ass be corrected with wedges.
An alignment will not help a solid front axle with caster issues.

2017 f350 DRW. Started about 2 weeks ago. New tires and alignment help. Took it to dealer. There is a track bar replacement. Mine is covered under extended warranty. The part to "fix" the problem is on back order for 3 - 4 weeks. The first tire store I took it to said all the ball joints and tie rod ends were worn out. Last tire shop and Dealer said they were fine. No issues aligning it. I will post an update when the part is replaced.

Ford initially told me I caused the problem by putting a Ranch hand Guard on the front. I called BS on that. it's been on there since the day I bought it back in 2017.

LOL...better be glad you didn't have a fifth wheel hitch. Those things can cause the Death Spiral at speeds greater than 20 mph.

Interesting. I wonder why Ford allows 1.3 to 1.8 hours to do it, along with camber and toe-in?
