Try acupuncture.

Have a buddy who is a chiropractor and says he's treated patients with shingles and it has cleared it up completely on multiple occasions.

I would assume he means to treat post-herpetic neuralgia (post shingles pain). I hope someone is not out there doing acupuncture for an acute shingles flare.
