Edit: Can see pic now. That's a red bat and those are babies on its chest.

From that website: Mother bats often fly with their pups. The young cling to their mother's underarm nipple with their mouths and hang onto her waist with their toes. Carrying a pup often more than a third of your weight via your nipples is no small feat - that is a super strong mom!

Part of my internship with TPWD was to trap bats over in Fredericksburg....was a very cool experience.

We did it every Monday evening and usually snagged a couple hundred each time. My job was to look for bands and call out male or female. Day one on the job I chose the welding gloves even though everyone told me not to. First time I went to pick one up, I ended up pulling up about four or five. I never shook a glove off so fast.
