Outdoor related becaus he is one of my Fishing/Hunting partners...

Please say a prayer for Baby Cup- my youngest son. 11 months old, is in the hospital batting a very severe case of RSV. He is having real trouble keeping his oxygen at a safe level. Having to keep a mask on him 24/7 (which is a tough task with a baby), O2 passby on full blast just to keep him hovering around 85-90... This means Momma Cup and I are rotating and juggling the other 2 kids. Someone has to hold the mask on him constantly. He has a horrible cough and congestion, wakes up every 15 mins hacking a lung and crying in pain. Breaks my heart...

We will get through this, with the Good Lords help, but it's been tough and worrisome. Pray he is able to get his O2 sat up and level. Thanks

With the exception of this virus, the little guy looks healthy as a horse. I know how hard it is to have a sick kid. You think if you could just take their suffering away and put it on yourself. Keep praying and you guys will get through this.

God provides, thank goodness not according to our goodness, but because of His love for us.

Being a dad is scary, hang in there and keep holding and praying for your little guy. I will look forward to good updates.

Had a pediatric ER doc tell me what others have said, "kids are tough as nails"

Dealt with RSV issues with my oldest as well...its tough, beyond tough because the mask pisses them off never mind the RSV portion of the equation. Again as others have said, being a Dad ain't for the weak minded.

I would offer company, too, but I have a compromised immune system and couldn't be with my own daughter when she had RSV.

My family has your family in our prayers. It's tough. Hang in there.

I've been there... you've got to stay strong for your wife and family, and do as much as you can to comfort the little one and act as a force multiplier for the hospital staff's efforts. My daughter was in NICU a month after she was born with RSV and viral pneumonia, same thing with low oxygen. You have to be unwavering in your expectation that your little one will make a full and complete recovery, and do what it takes to get there.

NICU nurses are some of the best people on this planet. I'm sure your little one is receiving great care as well. Help them do their job, and stay strong!

ETA: you asked for prayers, and you have mine. Remember, God helps those who help themselves, and you and your spouse are going to do what it takes with the help of some great doctors and nurses.

Hang in there buddy, having a little one in a position like that is one of the low points of parenting for sure. Been in similar positions with my kids as well - stay tough, help momma out however you can and know we are hoping and praying for as quick a recovery as possible.

Thoughts & Prayers for him and your family.

Y'all will get through this. My great nephew had a couple really bad bouts with RSV when he was infant & toddler. Once, the Docs thought he wouldn't pull through. But he fought it off and now you'd never be able to tell. He's a little hell raiser & good athlete.
