My husband and child insist on growing these things in pots. However they forget to water them. Today I went out to check on them and I see this stuff on them. What the heck is it?

Another question in regards to Meyers lemons. How long does it take for the fruit to mature..? Mine started in mid-May, they're large, but still haven't started turning. Want to repot but was waiting for the first round of lemons to finish.
Most citrus will push into December timeframe.
Leaf miners for the photo as mentioned. Neem oil is a great option, but remember that you need to be careful in hot temperatures. You can use a systemic insecticide as well, but be aware of preharvest intervals (PHI).

I have a lime tree with this and have never had any luck with neem oil.
