This is the one I missed too, and honestly I was 50/50 on it. You could have told me it was either one and I would have said, "Yeah, I guess, but I'm not sure." Looks kinda mangy.

All of the others were super easy I thought. However on their descriptions of "look for the long legs" at least half the coyote pictures appear to have longer legs than the damn wolves in the very next picture.

I just thought, "does this dog face look mischievous? or murdery?" The end.

That, and a coyote/chupacabra that has short or crappy hair like some of those shown looks pretty scrawny.

But body frame size, especially the legs.

Honestly, probably probably pretty close. I learned a long time ago that being a "hunter" sadly does not mean you are better at wildlife id.

i picked coyote too many times early without really looking, thought it was going to be a trick. like not every dog looking animal is a wolf trick.

This reminds me of hiking with our son-in-law, an avid hunter. As we walk the pond at Buffalo Lake NWR, he's saying "grebe....mallard...loon..."

Our daughter turns to us and says, "Ducks."

80 on the bear test. Missed the face of the Griz becasue I was in a hurry and didn't pay attention to which button I was pressing. I knew it was a griz.

I am apparently better at identifying differences between black and grizzly bears than between coyotes and wolves. 100% vs. 90%.

Maybe it's the thought that one set is more prone to eat me than the other concentrates my mind.

I did better on the bear test also, but I did miss the blonde black bear.

my guess is a pack of wolves is way more likely to eat you then a black bear.
