Everything about the Marlin lever guns is awesome....except for the butt ugly exposed bolt and action. Never understood why they couldn't make the reciever/bolt better looking.

I keep telling myself that one day I'm going to modify my 1895....one day.

Man, but from a functional standpoint the marlins are so much more beautiful than the Winchesters. The design is so much simpler and easy to work on.
