Found this guy in the flower bed. Lived in Houston all my life and don't recall seeing one. Very colorful and about the size of my palm. Some variety of cricket frog and larger compared to the ones on the interwebs.

Southern leopard frog, very very common in the coastal region of Texas. In the region of Texas where I grew up (Victoria County), they were colloquially known as Spring Frogs.

Love me some leopard frog. They were all over the ricefields when we'd cut 'em wet. Cattle egrets seemed to like 'em too.
