How much cottonseed is in one of those feeders and how do you buy it (by the ton? Pickup load?) It doesn't come in 50 lb bags I assume...

When I was a kid we bought it by the semi-load, but don't need that much now.

Mumme's, Lyssy & Eckel, and Speer Ag all sell it in 50 pound sacks. Mumme's and Lyssy and Eckel actually just distribute Speer Ag cottonseed. I don't know where/how to buy it in bulk, except maybe Speer Ag in Uvalde or directly from a gin.

It takes 8 bags (400 lbs) to fill up one of the hoppers you see in the pictures.

I just pulled mine because all I have access to is cottonseed hulls. Thought I was sold whole cottonseed

PLEASE kill any volunteer cotton plants that come up!
