OK, noob here that doesn't know jack about suppressors, so this may be ignorant question. So your rifle is 6.5 Grendal but your suppressor is a 7.62? Does that still suppress OK being a larger diameter than the barrel/bullet?

So, yeah... I really did NOT want to send that scope out.

Wow, that is a nice rig! At first I thought your 7-42 scope was a typo. Didn't realize Leupold made such a scope. Looked it up and realized they were into something new that competes with NF.

What are you using this setup for?

That scope is a beast.

As long as the suppressor diameter is larger than the bullet diameter then you can use the can.

I don't have a tool to measure the sound difference, but from shooting it at the range without ear protection it sounds like a .22 when the can is on. You still get the sonic crack since the bullet is going 2500 fps. There is hardly any felt recoil due to the weight of the set up and suppressor.

I will be using it for long range hunting/target shooting. No competitions just for fun. I am tired of shooting stuff at 70 yards under a feeder and wanted to get a setup I could use from 300-600 yards with consistency.

Leupold just came out with those scopes in July I believe. Eyeguy was able to hook me up with one before they were even posted on optics planet or any other site. I recommend if you need any optics you shoot him a message before you purchase anything. His prices are always great as well.

I'd say you achieved that for sure. What have you been shooting so far? I'd suggest trying out different bullet weights to find what it is really capable of. I have a Grendel with an 18" barrel from ARP that was shooting 140 grain bullets 3/4-1 MOA which was a bit disappointing, although I didn't try any other powders either. I went to 129 Hornady SSTs and got 1/2 MOA, then found that it puts 107 Scenars into the same hole.

I got the upper from Precision Firearms. They custom fluted the barrel as well as carekote and threading.

I have only shot 129 gr sst's out of it so far. and it shot pretty well. I will try some other bullets including the Berger hunting VLD's. Remember I am using it for hunting so I can't use a straight target bullet.

There's a couple of vids online I'll try to find where the Saker 7.62 when firing 5.56 through it actually has a lower db rating than a Saker 5.56 does.

Non collapsible stock, 24" barrel, and suppressor. That rifle must be about 1.2 miles long.

But it looks 100% badass and I bet it shoots like a dream. Nice build!

So far with limited use the saker (Silencer Co.) quick detach has been great! The break looks great and works like a charm. I would recommend it. They make them in 556 and 762.

I got mine through Silencer Shop in Austin and they were great! (I am sure eyeguy would be just as good)
Supposedly Silencer shop is opening up a location in DFW near Bass Pro soon.

I need ideas on what I can tell my wife about how I need that scope. Great looking gun.
