I've been collecting Shiner bottles for a few years now. There are two bottles that I'd like to get my hands on before I start looking for really old ones. I need a Shiner 96 bottle and a Shiner Spezial Leicht bottle. I have everything that they've made since 2005 except those two. Any of you beer nerds know where I can look for these things?

got a 96 cap but not bottle i'm afraid.

I may...MAY have both. I kept a few of them. I've considered just steaming or freezing off the lables and keeping those instead of the bulky bottles.

Hmm... if you have them, think we might be able to work something out?

You should know, I'm a classically trained chef who has been selling homemade cheesecakes for close to ten years.

I am also in need of 96, as well as a kolsch, but SHOULD have an extra leicht.... let me look.

I have 97-100 coasters as well as kolsch, dunkel, cheer, blonde, hefe, leicht, and light coasters

I'll look in the attic for a 96 bottle for you tonight. I saved a crate and (i think) most of the bottles from that seasonal offering and would happily part with one in exchange for postage.

FWIW, I have hundreds of bottlecaps, but I only collect a few bottles. most of the bottles don't have the original cap.

I don't know where you are located, but they STILL had some 6-packs of Shiner Spezial Leicht available at the liquor store next to the HEB off of Barker-Cypress & 290 in Cypress about 2 months ago. I couldn't believe they still had it - had to be about 1.5 years old.

I also know where you can get some pre-2005 (circa 1998-99) Shiner Beers bottles unopened - Shiner Blonde, Shiner Bock, Shiner Kosmos (with original first release label), and Shiner Honey Wheat (original label) - I think there may also possibly be a Shiner Winter Ale and a Shiner Summer Stock Bottle - and a few Shiner Gilley's pull-tab cans (empty and sealed).

Examples of some of the ones I have at my parent's house:

Where might that be? I might have to have them all now.

Having grown up there, I used to collect the beers as well - now they are just collecting dust at my parent's house - I am sure I could part with some of them.

About 10-11 years ago, Shiner released a 4-pack of Kosmos, Honey Wheat, Bock, & Blonde (to the best of my recollection) - I think I have about 2-3 of those commemorative sets (still in mint condition in the orginal box they came in). I believe I also have a Winter Ale and possibly a Summer Stock bottle as well.

I also have a few sealed unopened (empty) cans of Gilley's and maybe even a Gold Shiner Premium can like in the above picture (also empty and sealed).

Are you interested in selling some of them?

Yeah. It wouldn't be for a few weeks though - I have to go pick them up from my parent's house, and I probably won't make a trip there for a few weeks.

I would be a bottle collector but I don't really have the space and both my in-laws and parents are teetotaling baptists so I keep it to a cap collection. Awsome that plenty of posters had one
