For the Switch owners:

Found a great hack for those that want to play this with modern style FPS controls. First, switch the left and right joysticks in your Switch settings -> control mapping.

Then, in the GoldenEye watch menu, select control style '1.2 - Solitaire'. (And be sure to set Ratio to 16:9 as well to get widescreen.)

Enjoy.

Thanks this made a huge difference! Playing through it now and it's a lot of fun

I've never seen this but that is absolutely incredible. For some reason, I'm imagining this guy to be Tom Cruise pretty much with everything that guy does in life.

If Tom Cruise played a video game, this would be him reacting to some time record on a speed run.

Wow. FF7 came out in January and Goldeneye 007 came out in August of the same year. Two greatest games of all time contenders in 8 months. Insane.

Really? I think it plays great on an Xbox controller. I could never go back to an N64 controller... I thought it was incredible back in 97 but a big NO after the fact. Goldeneye plays fine with a modern control scheme from a nostalgia perspective.

Played a little this morning and the controls were terrible. I'll have to try the adjustments suggested here. My son was not impressed.

One thing to remember is that it has auto-aim so let it help. Make sure it's on in the watch menu. Just look in the general direction and start blasting.

Didn't see it mentioned but for Xbox Game Pass subscribers this was added so you can play it for free.

As others have mentioned the controls feel way off. Need to adjust or this won't be very much fun.

Edit: I now see Game Pass in the thread title...my bad.
