Indoor vs "outdoor" tv's

yeah I spent ~$300 in 2018. First game watched on it was the A&M LSU 7OT game.

I cover mine, but then when we don't use it for a while there always seems to be something happen to it. For example:

a) paper wasps in the mounting bracket
b) paper wasps inside the cover
c) bird nest inside the cover if you don't seal it up real good (mine has cheap velcro and one bottom corner was open. Probably the best nest that bird ever had).

We don't use it that often, which to me further emphasizes the reasoning to not spend so much on it. At this point if it survives this ridiculous summer and craps out in the fall I feel we have gotten our moneys worth for sure.

I've had my TV outside in the covered patio area for over 10 years.
Take this advice - don't spend a lot on a TV for outside. I'm on my second 65" TV and spent under $1,000 for both.

Two Amazon fire tv's on prime day for the outside. I figure I'll only get 3 years or so out of them.
