We are projecting on this wall and I'd like to be able to see small text much more clearly than we are able to now. We have to heavily dim the lights and make things larger than we prefer to see everything clearly.

Right now it's an Epson EX5210 with 1024 x 768 and 2800 lumens.

Any recommendations on specific models, brands or even just what to look for with specs? Prefer to stay under $3,000 but have some flexibility for the right thing.

Get the brightest projector you can for that room. Needs to be like 4000 lumens.

An actual screen would also help a lot. They are neutral color and somewhat reflective. Might try that and not even need a new projector.

Would 4K do anything for me on seeing small details more clearly?

Laser based projector. Top of the line fidelity and brightness/quality mix. Get a proper screen for it too.

Example model, search around though.

You could always go with a nice 85" tv as well. It will beat the projector in quality and brightness. Hard to tell how big that projection is for you right now.

Ceiling tiles are 2' wide, so that's about 8' wide.

If I'm not convinced of a new projectors clarity and brightness, the 85" would probably work.

Decent deal on a laser projector + a quality 100" screen and under your budget.

If you are not going to go with a TV, you need to really invest in a good screen. The quality of the screen can do a lot when it comes to the overall quality of your projector's image.

We put in a training room couple years ago. Here's the projector and screen we went with. Very happy with quality.

Check the replacement costs for the projector bulbs. They usually cost a fortune. I would go with the large TV.

We went with a large TV, 85" Samsung 90A w/Sonos Arc sound bar. Film isn't pulled off the front, it's going to be very slick:

Looks great, i think everyone will be happy with it compared to the old projector. The 90A is a QLED right? Should have really good colors on it.

TV with ClickShare is the way to go.

Looks better, easier for non-tech people to use, and non-mounted projectors don't disappear (at my company, people tended to "borrow" them to use in another room and don't return).
