Looking for a new domain for email, would like to have website hosting as well, to potentially start a business. I know there is Go Daddy, Wix, etc. What is the best, yet least expensive, route to go?

IMHO

GoDaddy: Host/Manage domain
SquareSpace: Web hosting (simple)
Proton: Mail (if you are serious about business then you could go Google or Microsoft 365)

You configure your domain at GoDaddy to point to SquareSpace (website) and your Proton mail.

GoDaddy can do it all as well.

my picks:

Domain management and hosting: Namecheap.com
I don't have complicated hosting needs, but they are cheap and easy to use.

Email: fastmail.com
Better functionality and mobile app (IMO) than proton or tutanota

I like protonmail for sending encrypted emails. If you're comfortable w. PGP, there may be better options. I think the mobile app is fairly easy to use, but its a bit annoying on a desktop

Take a look at AOL or EarthLink. They are kind of the next level up from Hotmail.

I've got this paperclip guy/thing (not sure of its pronoun) that pops up on my screen. I asked "it" and I'm pretty sure that AOL is the way to go...but don't take my word for it. I'm an old too.
