I'm very curious to see what the entry level 14" MBP pricing is.

A friend of mine said he bets $1799+ . I think that is way too high. I could see an entry price if $1299 if they start at 8GB ram and maybe no miniLED screen.

I guess there are a few variables.

I actually didn't hate the Touch Bar. I use it often for adjusting screen brightness, sound, answering/hanging up calls, muting.

The 13" is currently $1299 in its base config. I think the best you could hope for is $1599.

Yea, 14" will be at least $1599. 16" will be over $2000.
I'm hoping the upgrade prices aren't bad. The nice thing about these is there won't be a whole lot of configurations because it's just one CPU with maybe plus or minus a couple of cores. Seems like the M1s are $400 cheaper than the Intel when dealing with upgrades.

Base is rumored to be 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

I'm thinking of replacing my mini w/a Macbook. If you were buying today would you value an M1 over a similarly priced/spec'd core i5? At a glance I only see the battery life as significantly better and wifi-6.

I'm ignorant to processors so I have no idea of one is going to outperform.

If they don't release news on airpods v3 I'm gonna lose it. Been waiting on new ones all year. Still using v1 and having serious battery issues.

Of course they will probably be the exact same with no new features.

I won't miss the touch bar, but they solved my biggest issue with it when they brought back the esc key.

One more thing that I think we may see is an updated iPad Air with all of the improvements we have in the new iPad Mini.

I think they will release sometime before the Holidays. New AirPods design keeps leaking, but every event this year has been they're gonna throw in AirPods and they don't.

M1 blows the i5 out of the water for laptops in pretty much every way.

I still have trouble believing $1599 entry but maybe the base config will be

$1599 just seems like such a steep entry point.

Also, does anyone else think they've sort of bungled their iPad lineup?

So the new mini is more capable and powerful than the "iPad", which now seems aimed at kids, education, and your first tablet.

The mini is powerful but tiny screen? The air is better than both but less than the iPad Pro? And we dont call it the Air Pro Bc of the weight?

I think it would make more sense if the iPad Mini was the iPad Air Mini, because then the progression makes sense. But then you'd probably have to have an iPad Pro Mini, which wouldn't make sense.

The price progression relative to features makes sense to me with this generation, but the naming is still kind of whack.

Apple Probably gets priority on multiple fronts Bc they have such large orders, and probably can pay a little more of a premium. People are getting their iPhone13s

Yea, they're all over the place. The reason the mini exists is because people wanted it. They almost killed it.
Here's my logic of the lineup.

-iPad: For Kids and Education for bulk buying and producing
-iPad Mini: For Pilots, Door to Door Salesmen, Service Techs, and people that have small phones.
-iPad Air: For your average consumer that uses an iPad for games, emails, video, and web browsing on the couch
-iPad Pro: For Professional Creators that need the horsepower and a touch screen.

Yeah I think I've been so annoyed because every leak site for airpods mentions next event … and this has been every event since beginning of the year.

I hope they aren't buds like the pros because I have weird sensitive ears to any bud headphones and that's why I love the regular apple headphone shape.

I like everything about that other than the notch and the general design. Thought last gen looked better, and I really don't see why they can't design around not having a notch.
