Is online poker legal now, and do people play?

I played at partypoker many years ago, it was a blast. But then, maybe 2007?, they outlawed it somehow, I can't remember the details.

Is there a way to play online now?

Some states have it available, but generally it's not. I believe there may be a few ways to still play from the US, although I'm not sure how or where these days.

We have been doing home games where we use play money but Venmo someone on the side to hold the pot. Very easy to set up and a blast.

The end for me in the early 2000's, I saw 4 of a kind and a straight flush in the same hand, in hold 'em. At that point I had made more than I put in, cashed out and never looked back.

I was in Vegas in Feb and went on the heater of my life between Craps and then PLO. Played all night then went straight to the airport.

No kidding. The super early days with Neteller and easily jumping between all the sights and bonus whoring while learning the game and then destroying the fish was so great. I'm talking about 2004. Hard to believe that was so long ago.

I used to play 40+ hrs/week online. Then F'n Black Friday. At least I got my money back a few years later from Full Tilt.

I was on the winning end of one of those in 04 or 05.

I had AhKd. I raise up, call a reraise and we have a 4-way pot.

Flop was QhJhTh so I have the nut straight with a nut flush draw. I open, get reraised by someone else and I put them in. All four still in.

Guy that raised on the flop had 9h8h - so he called raises in then flopped the nut flush. Another guy had QQ and another guy had JJ.

Everyone's all in.

River was Kh, so I rivered the 1 out Royal Straight. Easily the most ridiculous hand ever in poker.

I played on Pokerstars last night for the first time since college (15 years ago). Friend setup a "home game" on Pokerstars and we used Messenger for video/audio. Everybody Venmos/Paypals the winner(s).

Not sure if this answers the OP as I don't know if online poker is like it was before they locked it down, i.e. playing for money with strangers and the poker site is the bank, but playing with friends as described above is good times.

I have been playing it for a while too, and I like playing poker there. I think it is 100% legal. If you like such online gambling, I recommend that you have a look at that mr bet bonus, for example. I am sure that you will find it helpful and interesting to you too, it is a really cool and working service, good luck!

My friends and I have been doing this once a week on Pokerstars. Set up a private sit n go, and then venmo each other afterwards to settle up.

Why exactly is gambling illegal? This seems illogical. Given the state of the economy and national debt, they need to legalize this in all 50 states and create a new revenue stream.

My fish year I played pretty regularly in a cash tournament in either Dunn or Aston, but I came out ahead.

You were close to a 3:1 dog with 11 outs. Any heart or King.

I think you missed the part where one of the other guys flopped a queen high straight flush.

I don't think soup mentioned what the turn card was.
