I'm looking for a new TV.

Preferably 65"
Less than $1000
Mostly for movies and shows.
Preferably built-in Netflix, Hulu, etc.
No gaming.
Wide angle is preferred.
Refurbished is fine, as long as it looks/functions like new.
Last year's model is probably fine.

Was reading this:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-size/65-inch

Which led me to this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X4BFG3Z/
and
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPN3DS7/

What do y'all think? Any other suggestions?

Just an FYI, both your amazon links are "renewed" which means refurbs in amazon lingo.

Samsung QN65Q60RA 65" Q60 QLED Smart 4K UHD TV (2019 Model)
https://www.buydig.com/shop/product/SAMQN65Q60RA/Samsung-QN65Q60RA-65-Q60-QLED-Smart-4K-UHD-TV-2019-Model
$972 or so after taxes
Includes a free 2 year warranty.

Same tv and price at Amazon but no free warranty.

OR

Half the price which would let you tack on a 4 year warranty for $70 and still come out $250-$300 ahead
Samsung UN65RU7100FXZA Flat 65-Inch 4K UHD 7 Series Ultra HD Smart TV with HDR and Alexa Compatibility (2019 Model)

Its not as fancy but would get the job done.

Thank you for those. I purchased other renewed/refurbished stuff from amazon before and it's usually just open box type customer returns.

Why are the TV's you listed much cheaper? Less features or worse picture quality?

If it's the picture quality, could we even notice it when streaming 90% of our stuff?

Outside of going up to an OLED panel (not to be confused with QLED which is still just an LED panel), most of your midrange LED panels have limited feature sets that set them apart. 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, dimming/black zones ect. Most of it comes down to marketing/brand for price differences. The TV's I posted and the one from the poster above will do everything and more you will need.

I got a Roku 4K HDR 65" tv for $399 on Black Friday. Has a great picture. Spend less, and then use the extra $$ for something else. It's the best value out there. But what do I know.

For the money, this seems to be a lot more "worth it" than the $1000 tv's.

How is the viewing angle? That seems to be the main/only drawback I'm seeing online.

Haven't had a problem with it, but I don't have it mounted up high or anything. I'm usually only 10-12 feet away and viewing it straight on. It's also my first 4K TV, so maybe I'm easily impressed. I also love the built-in Roku. Didn't think it was that big a deal, but it's so simple and easy to access all the apps. I use that stuff every day.

And it's been awesome. Color and quality have been great, even in a room with a ton of windows. Thanks for y'all that helped us pick it out.
