My computer monitor no longer displays a picture. When I turn it on, the power light blinks on and off and the screen remains dark. It does this even when not connected to the computer. The self test window that usually floats around the screen when its disconnected does not appear and the power light just continues to blink.

Is there anything I can try or is it just time to get a new one?

Swap out the cables first before you buy a new one

I will try another cable, but I don't think that's it, since the problem persists when there is no cable connected at all.
