So my S6 is a few years old now and the battery life has taken a complete nosedive in the past couple of months. I can maybe get an hour or so now before it dies on me.
Today, I noticed my otterbox cover wasn't fitting like it was supposed to, and took it off only to see that the actual backing of the phone is coming unglued and bulging out a bit on one side.
I haven't taken it apart but I can only imagine it's a swollen battery.
I was already thinking about getting a replacement battery and trying to swap it out myself. (Which will take a bit of phone surgery apparently.)
So I ordered the battery, but my question is.... is my phone safe to use for the next few days? Google says not to leave it plugged in (which I usually do overnight, every night.)
Is it safe to just charge to 100% several times throughout the day?
