I have several electronic purchases I need to make and I would like to take advantage of upcoming sales as much as possible. I am not tech-savvy and need some help.

1. I need a budget/bargain gaming pc. This is for my kids. It doesn't need to be crazy, but they will want to stream game playing videos and/or try to make youtube videos, so it at least needs to be able to do that. 2. Need monitor for the gaming PC. <$250.00.

3. Looking to upgrade my Microsoft Surface for work. Can go up to ~$1,000.00. Need it for OneNote with pen functionality. Powerpoint with audio/video presentations. Anybody got something better? Not married to the Surface, but I do want whatever it is to have tablet with a pen. Don't know if anybody else makes those.

In as well since I'm needing a monitor. Are you looking for 144hz?

That's a good price on the surface but the i3 processor and 4 gig of ram would worry me that is underpowered. If you are only using office and audio visual stuff you will probably be ok with it. My Surface 3 Pro still works mostly without issue on office and web applications but it can't handle photoshop anymore. I would still probably go for the 8 gig ram i5 though. At the very least so that you can be more confident that it will be able to work well for the next few years.

I'd keep an eye on https://slickdeals.net/ you can set alerts on the computer models you want and wait for a sale to pop up on them.

I would wait on that computer for your kids. I think you can find better over the next weak. There are a lot of deals out there...especially on Newegg, MicroCenter, Amazon, etc Look at the pre-black friday PC builds on Newegg for some examples

Apple products in general don't usually go on heavy discount, I'd also keep an eye on Best Buy for Cyber Monday/Black Friday type deals.

Looking in the refurb section of the Apple Store (bottom menu middle "Refurbished and Clearance" on apple.com) may actually be your best bet. Products are generally packaged as new and are fully warrantied and you can usually save at least a few hundred bucks on bigger items. Just be sure to carefully check model numbers so you know which models you're buying.

And for the record Air Pods may be the best piece of tech I've ever owned

Do check Amazon and Best Buy.

Also, if it's for school, Apple has education pricing. Especially if you need to spec out the MacBook's RAM so it'll last longer which can only be done at Apple.

Keep in mind the new MacBooks are USB-C, so you're gonna have to spend a little more on accessories such as USB-C dongles and USC-C to Lightning iPhone charger.
