Purchasing Destiny 2
The base game and first few expansions (up until forsaken) are now free to play, the Forsaken expansion will be able to be purchased separately but not required for the new Shadowkeep expansion.

While most of us play on Playstation, Destiny 2 has just released Cross-Save which will let a few of us jump between different platforms to help each other out.

Destiny 2 is available for PC (Steam), PS4, XBOX, and Google Stadia.

Destiny 2 New Light: Free (This is the Destiny 2 base game + early expansions up until Forsaken, it is now Free to Play, you will also be able to explore ALL of the new locations for patrols and shooting enemies in the face but won't be able to access any forsaken or shadowkeep story missions or gear until you purchase the DLC)

Destiny 2 Forsaken: $25 (This is Forsaken and all the annual pass content including the Forges and Menagerie.)

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep: $35 (This includes the Shadowkeep expansion plus the first season pass which goes live along side Shadowkeep. Again, it doesn't include the Forsaken content)

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Deluxe Edition: $60 (This is still only the Shadowkeep content but you also pre-purchase 4 season passes.)

I know it says PSN but anyone on any platform is free to join If it starts to get full, I'll boot people based on the time since last log-in. If you come back, feel free to rejoin.

Clans have in-game goals and bonuses that are shared among those in the clan. You need to request to join but it is an open group so it'll automatically add anyone who requests. Feel free to add yourself or your friends to the clan.

I'm in and playing but it is constantly contacting the Destiny servers during play. Will try again later.

Servers seem to be really struggling. I'm sitting at the "Destiny 2 is temporarily at capacity. You will join the game in the order in which you connected." Not surprising since they went free to play they are probably massively overloaded right now. Not sure if sitting in line or just retrying later tonight would be best

Quick question because I seemingly can't find a clear answer online - buying Shadowkeep on one platform does not mean you have it on the others, right? So if I pick it up for PC, my PS4 will only have D2 Y1 + Forsaken + Annual Pass?

Also, stupid servers being down. Logged on during my lunch break (yay work from home) and saw the scoped HC. Wanna blast some baddies on the moon
