I am looking to get a new laptop. Budget is around $1K-$1750. Wife wants it to be something light that she can carry around and I would like to be able to do my video editing / photoshop / gaming on it as well. I've looked at some of the 2 in 1 laptops and just not a fan of the integrated GPU for similiar or more money as a dedicated video card. This will replace my desktop that I built 12 years ago that is now giving out so I will most likely pull the 1TB hdd and using as an external along with the laptop for as long as it lasts.

I'm currently looking at the Alienware m15 Thin ($1830 minus $200 coupon is $1630 Total)

8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H (6-Core, 9MB Cache, up to 4.1GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5
512GB PCIe M.2 SSD

It seems to be a good deal for those components and for the size and weight of the laptop. Do you guys have any alternative suggestions that you think would be better suited or any warnings on this particular laptop? Most reviews seemed to be positive.
