For people who ported a number over, what was your process? I have the new physical handset here. Do I port the number, then wipe the old phone? Relevant note: old phone's lease is up, so i have to return it or face a stiff penalty.

Ugh... pulled the plug and upgraded from a Pixel XL to a Pixel 3 with this deal. Been a Google Fi user for three years and it's worked great, especially some of the places overseas I have been.pnut02 said:

Here's my referral if anyone is interested - you get $20 credit

Appreciate it! I'm going to check it out. Seems like it might be the way to go. Only problem is my wife is not on a Google Fi compatible phone (or at least I don't think she is). She's got an LG V20.Bobcat-Ag said:

That's a heck of a referral bonus. I see that it's valid until Jan 09, 2019. Guess they are really pushing Fi through the holidays.wessimo said:
The travel GC is a screaming deal if you would spend the money travel anyway. Just ordered a Pixel 3 and will be spending the gift cards somewhere in Australia or Asia next year.
Regarding referrals, right now Google is crediting $20 to the person being referred and $100 to the referrer. Sign up with my code and I'll paypal/venmo you $40 once I get the credit (so that it is split evenly, $60 per person).

Same here...2 phones with unlimited data and pay about $150 after taxes (also get HBO Go). Data usage varies but is often above 10 gigs as I stream a lot on my hour + commute each way along with Waze. Does sound enticing though.Ag12thman said:
Wow - very cheap. We have unlimited AT&T right now and our bill is well over $100 per month
Since you're on AT&T, you may want to check out Cricket. We pay $70 with taxes included for 2 lines of 5 GB each. In order to get that cheap on Google Fi, we'd have to total 3 GB. Cricket uses the AT&T towers so you should see the same coverage.Ag12thman said:Appreciate it! I'm going to check it out. Seems like it might be the way to go.
