So,

I had a pretty good idea that Xfinity throttled, but most afternoons as of late my wifi drops consistently for a bit then stabilizes. Weird part is a little over a year ago I didn't have any issues. The biggest issue for certain is my desktop wifi adapter just dropping service frequently...Any advice?

Connect something directly to your cable modem with a LAN cable and see if it still happens.
