How long do you want to ignore this user?
I've just moved into an apartment complex who says they have live cable access with no box needed. I hooked up n older Samsung TV directly from wall to the only cable port in the back of the TV. The TV is also HDMI comparable with a HDMI port.

I get a Weak or No Signal message on the Cable 3 setting. Any recommendations on how to solve the problem? Again, there is no able box involved. Thanks.

Most likely, the cable signal has been split far too many times, not unlike the cable in the Aggieland dorms. You could try installing an amplifier, but most likely, the issue is on the apartment's end.

Make sure the coax cable is of good quality and is no longer than it needs to be.

We use an RF modulator at work to transmit content to TVs around the building and I've had to replace the cheap cables that came with the TVs with higher quality ones, especially if I know they are at the end of a cable run.
