SIAP but relatively new on here...has it been discussed that the CW is only broadcast in SD? (at least on my DirecTV)

Pretty annoying in general, but particularly in a situation like last night where the Rockets were displaced from ABC by some fundraiser, and they put the game on the CW instead.

They broadcast Ch 3 KBTX in SD too for some stupid reason.

DirecTV has a fixed amount of transponder space available for HD channels (which eat up more bandwidth). Even with their use of spot beams, sometimes the smaller markets end up getting screwed.

What's also strange is that The CW broadcasts TexAgs radio studio show on suddenlink cable but not on the CW on DirecTV. At least that's the way it was a couple of years ago before I switched.
