What is the best route for selling these? Just go to Gamestop and take whatever they give us? Is there a guide to their value? Is ebay a better alternative?

Thanks in advance.

Craigslist will net you more than eBay just because of the selling fees.

Worst case take what GameStop offers and add 20% to sell on Craigslist or offer up.

My kids took some to GameStop recently. Really have dropped in value. Most they would not take. Even a year ago most were under 50 cents.

Same here.
They wouldn't take most, & the ones they did were < $1.00.

View sold lots on ebay to see if it's worth your time. List under correct category and run a 10 day auction starting at 99 cents on a Thursday night, ending on a Sunday night. That maximizes views and bids.

Figure out your shipping estimate here:

Paypal + ebay fees run about 15% of total selling price (including shipping)

It takes me about 30 minutes to list & ship. If I'm making anything over $30 an hour (or $15 net per auction), worth it to me as a hobby of mine. I think of it as a digital garage sale. Bc you're helping your kids, go for it either way. It'll get them the best value.
