Where might I find a used bare bones laptop under $150?

Can't be Chromebook, because I need to be able to load Excel 2003.

It can be total crap otherwise.

I thank you.

It's just above your budget at $175 but you do get a 1 year warranty for a new but refurbished laptop.

check out this site...local business based in Austin. I shop there all the time when I need some low rent laptop for a short time, etc. Their mailing list specials are great also.

One year warranty on all their stuff, makes it a no brainer.

This one would run excel easy with no issues for $125:

Those e6400's are a good little laptop. Light enough to carry around yet heavy enough to beat someone to death should you be attacked. I would caution you though the unit does not have either a parallel or serial port on it (DB25/DB9) so if you plan to time travel might want to take that in consideration.

LOL. I have a four year old E6440 for my work laptop. I can confirm its usefulness as a blunt instrument. I haven't traveled back to the 90s with mine yet, though.
