My wife is to the very last action on her doctoral thesis which includes adding her last name and a page number to the top right of every page.

Problem: she has multiple sections and it wants to apply the name and number to all sections. How do we make it where it only applies it to the certain pages / sections we desire?

I've googled and YouTube watched and am still struggling to help though I don't imagine it that hard.

I appreciate you dam. We finally got it figured out through much whaling and gnashing of teeth.

Looks like this was already resolved, but for anyone interested - the issue was most likely that each section's header was set to "link to previous" which carries over the content and style from the previous header. Header/footer is typically tied to the section, so this is the only reason I can think of that the page numbers would be automatically carrying into new sections.

OP, let me know if that wasn't the case.
