Ok, forgive me if this is a simple question, however it is not simple to me.

I have a Netgear NAS and wanted to understand what my security options are on this device. It is now about 3 years old and is connected to my wireless router. We access this through the wifi with a an id and password.

I believe that there is an option to access the files online, however I have never figured that part out (or really needed to).

So, what are my security concerns and options? If you need more information, please ask and I will try to track it down.

Not exactly sure what you are asking. Are you wanting to protect/backup the information on it? Or are you asking if there are security concerns about accessing it?

I was wondering about securing the access. Should I have antivirus and firewall loaded on it?
