I'm looking at getting an OLED tv and saw that they're pretty damn expensive. The new 65 inch model is $4,000.

The 2016 model is still in the wild and crazy cheap. So cheap I'm skeptical about it. Is there anything fishy about this to you guys?

Probably a bait and switch operation just like the site that was brought up last week.

This site doesn't seem to have as many negative reviews though. I'd still buy with caution if you chose to and make sure you use a credit card that has consumer protection services.

Run, don't walk away! The best you are going to do is the current $2500 deal on ebay or at Fry's for the same TV. If you do ebay, go through FatWallet for some cash back and you'll also earn ebay bucks on the transaction.

There's also some on sale on eBay for $2400 with a user with extremely positive reviews.

Ive pretty much resolved myself to buying the 2017 model around black friday.

Might pull the trigger if the 2016 drops to $2400 at best buy but I'm doubtful itll get down that low.

Is there a big difference between 2016 and 2017?

Panel brightness is the biggest improvement. But im looking at it from the standpoint of I could spend $3000 now on a 2016 or hopefully $2800 on a 2017 panel with the right timing.

I check the prices on the 2016s every day. If it goes to $2500 ill probably pull the trigger. Just not hopeful of that

I went today, I could have gotten a curved one for 2500 but they wouldn't price match the straight one for $2500, it actually cost $3500 in store and they wouldn't even acknowledge the online price of 3k on their own website. It was a strange exchange.

I bought a 2016 in the fall for $2700. Like others I had a few bait and switch scams before finding a legit deal. Awesome tv love it.

Moving this weekend and want to finally replace a ten year old 1080p flat screen that I've had that is just starting to look tired.

Memorial Day deal ever any good for TVs? I know that before Super Bowl time is generally the time to buy, but that wasn't possible this year.

Except for the brand new Sony panels, LG's are the only OLED TV's out there. Lot's of different opinions, but for me it's the only TV I would buy at this point.
